PETROCHINA DALIAN LNG

16/12/2009 - AMPO S. COOP - POYAM VALVES has signed contract with HQCEC (Huanqiu Contracting Engineering Company), who is the EPC company belong to CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) to build Dalian LNG Receiving terminal in China. The scope of supply is manual and On-Off cryogenic top entry ball valves. 

This is Petrochina´s 1st LNG receiving terminal that it is building in the same time as Jiangsu LNG. Petrochina has confidence in Poyam cryogenic valves, due to Poyam has over 4000 cryogenic valves are operating in China.


China is set to have a new LNG terminal in Dalian, due to be operational in 2011.

PetroChina is forming a joint venture with Dalian Port to construct and run the LNG terminal.

Hong Kong-listed port operator's stake in the JV would be 25% while PetroChina would hold a 75% stake.

The JV is said to be called PetroChina Dalian LNG Co. and the terminal will reportedly serve mainly consumption from China's Liaoning province.

The new Xingang terminal has an LNG berth and a receiving facility with at least three storage tanks.

Construction costs have been estimated at about $878 million (6 billion yuan).

China reportedly plans to build at least 10 LNG terminals and double the use of LNG within five years.
